Postnatal support at home

A caring pair of hands while you find your feet.

I’ll support you through the tender first weeks and months with calm three-hour visits, practical help and space to talk about how things are really feeling.

Now accepting clients from October 2026

What can happen in three hours?

Every visit is shaped around what you and your family need that day

01

Arrive and check in

We’ll make a cup of tea, talk about how things are feeling and choose what would make the biggest difference today.

02

Practical care and rest

I might prepare food, hold your baby while you rest nearby, reset the kitchen or help with light laundry.

03

Leave things a little lighter

We’ll settle anything unfinished and make a small, realistic plan for the next few days.

This is only an example. Feeding, changing, cuddles and unexpected moments are always welcome. Please don’t tidy before I arrive — I’m coming to care for you.

Choose what would help most

Support that fits around real family life.

Birth reflection and a listening ear

A gentle space to talk about your birth and how you’re feeling. You can tell your story, cry, sit quietly or simply be — whatever feels right for you. I’ll listen without judgement and follow your lead; there’s no pressure to find the right words or reach a particular conclusion.

Nourishment and meal preparation

I can cook a simple meal, lunch or freezer-friendly dish during your visit. We’ll agree the menu first; ingredients can be provided by your family or purchased by me and added at the agreed cost.

Rest, partners and siblings

Rest while I care for your baby nearby, or let’s help your partner and older children find a gentler rhythm while keeping the visit parent-led.

A calmer shared space

Light washing-up, laundry or tidying one shared space can help home feel more manageable. This is practical postnatal support rather than a general cleaning service.

Your visit can have a focus. Choose rest and recovery, nourishing food, a small home reset, support around a partner returning to work, help with an older sibling — or a gentle mixture of whatever would feel right that day.

What you can expect from me

Warm, flexible care with clear expectations for both of us.

What sits outside my role?

I don’t offer birth attendance, overnight care, urgent or medical advice, ongoing sole-charge childcare, routine school runs, general housekeeping or unrestricted sibling care. If you need something outside my role, I’ll always try to point you towards the right kind of support.

When will I reply?

Routine scheduling and one brief weekly check-in are included during an active package. I normally reply within two working days, Monday to Friday. For anything urgent, please contact your maternity team or the appropriate NHS service.

What if my baby arrives early?

Babies rarely follow a diary perfectly. We’ll agree dates in writing and talk through reasonable changes for birth timing, hospital stays or any cancellation from me.

How does travel work?

Travel is included for addresses normally within 30 minutes of Dorking each way, including Reigate and Guildford. Longer journeys use simple supplements: £15 for 31–45 minutes each way or £30 for 46–60 minutes each way, per home visit. I’ll confirm everything before invoicing.
